ARMED SECURITY CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE OFFICER - FT - 1ST SHIFT - SIGN-ON BONUS

Position OverviewMartinez and Company is actively seeking disciplined, dedicated, and well‑trained Florida Class "D" and Armed "G" License Security Officers to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team.

Employment TypeFull‑Time, 1st Shift
Work ScheduleMonday through Sunday. Shift Times: 07:00 am – 07:00 pm.
Compensation- Base pay: $18.00 /hr – $24.00 /hr based on site position.
- Sign‑On Bonus: $500 (subject to qualifications).
- 27 hours of new‑hire paid training at $18 /hr.
- Final interview process: 4‑hour unpaid pre‑hire orientation.
- Possess military or law enforcement experience.
- Hold an Unarmed "D" Security License.
- Hold an Armed "G" Security License.
- Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- On‑the‑job and paid training.
- Flexible scheduling.
- Insurance options:
Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and AD&D.
- Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly using problem‑solving skills.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter.
- Work environments and conditions may vary depending on the client site.
- Approved Florida Class "D" and "G" licenses from the State of Florida DOACS.
- Completion of an approved Florida 40‑hour Unarmed Security Officer Course and a 28‑hour Armed Security Officer Course.
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Proof of high school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED certificate.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
- Current or previous U.S. military or law enforcement experience (documentation required for preference entitlement).
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute to assigned job sites.
- 24/7 access to a smartphone and computer with internet connectivity.
- Intermediate computer skills: emailing, web browsing, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; self‑motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing, and ability to interpret complex instructions, procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to work safely in various environments, including commercial and industrial locations.
- Capacity to obtain necessary personal uniform items.
- Good physical condition, including ability to walk up and down stairs in limited spaces and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance; wear the assigned uniform properly; tattoos must be covered and grooming standards adhered to.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background investigation.
- Knowledge of security and law enforcement guidelines, including investigative techniques.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and ordinances governing Hillsborough County.
- CPR and first aid certifications or ability to obtain them.
- College‑level education is strongly desired.
