USD 17.00 per hour.
Current OpeningThe flex officers cover open post, vacation request, extra coverage, and call outs. Flex officer’s hours vary depending on the individual’s availability to cover the opening shifts. All shifts are required to be available for.
Responsibilities- Flex officers must be available to fill in for vacation requests, open posts, extra coverage, or call outs, and must be able to respond promptly to shift requests.
- If a flex officer has less than 40 hours for the week and is called within four hours to start a shift, they will be required to fill the shift. Failure to meet this requirement within four hours or after being offered a shift three times may lead to disciplinary action or removal from the program.
- During major holidays when vacation requests arise, flex officers may be required to fill openings for senior officers.
- Must be able to answer or return calls/text messages with urgency once contacted for a shift opening.
- Utility officers may not consistently work forty hours each week, but we will attempt to cross‑train them so they can work forty hours if possible.
- Relevant security background experience.
- At least 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Security D License.
- Excellent communication skills, with a courteous and professional manner.
- Excellent observational skills.
- Experience communicating via two‑way radio.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Clean driving history with no “at fault” accidents within the last three years.
- Strong multi‑tasking abilities.
