Flex Security D Officers - Tampa

Job Summary

Marksman Security is hiring an Unarmed Security Flex Officer in Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Pete. Flex officers cover open posts, vacation requests, extra coverage, and call‑outs. Hours depend on availability. Current compensation is $17.00 per hour.

• Avail for weekend and holiday shifts, including filling vacation requests and open positions.
• Fill shift within 4 hours of notice and complete full shift; repeated failures may lead to removal from program.
• Respond to calls/texts urgently to cover shift openings.
• Assist with customer service, provide directions, maintain logs.
• Control access, monitor cameras, conduct patrols.
• Respond to incidents, record data, and report to management.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Security D license, FL driver’s license, and clean driving record (no "at fault" accidents in last 3 years).
• Experience in security, customer‑service, receptionist, hotel or restaurant roles.
• Excellent communication, courteous, professional, observational skills.
• Ability to use two‑way radio.
• Strong multi‑tasking, physical fitness (lift 50+ lbs, walk patrols, work in inclement weather).
• Pass pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
