Foundation Driller

Overview

Drill Rig Operator (Foundation Drilling) with travel requirement, to operate Oruga/Beck lift, CZM, IMTor or similar drill rigs for Phillips Infrastructure.

• Learn and follow safety regulations.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
• Locate underground services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work.
• Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, and position or move loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of the drill rig.
• Supervise oiling of the drill rig.
• Ensure own and riggers' compliance with company policy, safety guidelines and procedures relevant to the drill operator’s job.
• Maintain continuous communication with rigger/groundsman while operating the drill.
• Contribute to a safety-focused environment and participate in safety meetings and programs.
• Operate the drill to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Follow safety regulations and instructions; meet set standards.
• Judge distances and slopes accurately.
• Make decisions based on verifiable standards.
• Physical ability to stoop, bend, crouch, and use hands, arms, and legs fully.
• Good vision and hearing (with or without correction).
• Work in dusty or dirty surroundings.
• Pass construction equipment operator qualification testing/observation.
• CDL not required but preferred.

• High School Diploma preferred
• Five years verifiable and relevant experience
