Manthey Hospitality is currently looking for a skilled General Maintenance Technician. This position will be responsible for all maintenance and construction style projects including building, fabricating and painting, as well as general repairs of facilities and troubleshooting issues with equipment. This individual will report to the Port Engineer and work alongside maintenance and marine crew.

Manthey Hospitality is currently looking for a skilled General Maintenance Technician. This position will be responsible for all maintenance and construction style projects including building, fabricating and painting, as well as general repairs of facilities and troubleshooting issues with equipment. This individual will report to the Port Engineer and work alongside maintenance and marine crew.

Responsibilities

• Safety first; use all safety precautions when completing daily tasks including but not limited to personal protective equipment, harnesses, scaffolding, and ladders.
• Complete daily general handy-man style projects.
• Build and fabricate.
• General maintenance on vessel fleet, offices and docks.
• Paint surfaces according to specifications using brushes, rollers, and paint spray guns.
• Assist with general duties as necessary. This includes moving equipment, furniture, and cleaning area.
• Keep work area and all equipment inventoried and organized.

• Proven experience in handy man and construction style work.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and use of power tools.
• Experience building and fabricating, working with wood and other building materials.
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools.
• Effectively utilize basic math skills for projects and inventory.
• Possess manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Team player that can easily work with other departments.
• Fun work environment with no 2 days doing the same thing. Mostly outdoor work.

• General Maintenance 1 year (Preferred)
