Our client is seeking a U.S. Military Veteran to join their team!

Seeking a Senior Building Engineer to join the team in Tampa/Clearwater, Florida. The Senior Building Engineer is responsible for performing or directing the performance of all service maintenance requests for a specific property or portfolio of properties providing outstanding operational performance and delivering exceptional customer service to include:

• Lead all aspects of maintaining and repairing a building’s complex systems.
• Ensure that the building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and effectively.
• Lead a team of facility engineers and technicians, coordinating projects and delegating tasks as needed.
• Assist with developing and implementing plans to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.

• Communicate effectively with all team members (property management staff, project management and brokerage team).
• Manage a team of facility engineers.
• Oversee the accurate and timely completion of client maintenance service requests.
• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on building equipment, which may include Mechanical/HVAC/plumbing systems, electrical/cabling, fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems.
• Complete all preventive maintenance requirements, as required by each property.
• Coordinate 3rd party provider services (janitorial, HVAC, paving, painting, etc.) relative to preventative maintenance and repairs in a timely manner to ensure optimum operating service.
• Ensure that 3rd party repairs and projects are fully and properly completed.
• Coordinate and perform all (monthly, quarterly, annual) inspections including inspections of properties, HVAC, fire/life safety.
• Order and pickup maintenance supplies and materials as required by the property.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and operations excellence.
• Maintain vehicles and servicing of vehicles.
• Understand the engineering design and operational aspects of each building system. Immediately recognize system shortcomings when they occur.
• Identifying equipment which may require replacement or reconditioning resulting in the need for capital expenditures.
• Perform emergency or preventative maintenance repairs on nights and weekends as needed.
• Provide on-call support as required.
• Represent Harrod Properties and respective clients in a professional and neat appearance at all times adhering to Harrod Properties uniform policy.

• High School diploma and 5 or more years of demonstrated ability in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC. Trade school certifications will be considered in lieu of experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints, without direct supervision.
• Sound troubleshooting skills and the capacity to fully resolve problems. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Superior customer service skills and orientation. Collaborative style needed. Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under stressful situations.
