Who We Are SimsHD is a Tampa, Florida-based heavy hauling, rigging, and construction hoist company. We share a family legacy and a name with Sims Crane & Equipment, but SimsHD is a separate business — our own team, our own equipment, and our own focus: transporting, lifting, and placing the heavy, high-value equipment that keeps Florida’s industries moving. From hauling oversized industrial machinery across the state to rigging a delicate piece of equipment into a tight space, our crews specialize in the jobs that demand precision as much as horsepower.

Operating out of our Tampa headquarters, SimsHD works on projects throughout Florida — and we’re growing.

Sims HD is Florida's leader in Heavy Duty Moving Solutions, and we're growing fast. We move, lift and set the heaviest equipment out there: transformers, turbines, presses, vessels and structural steel for hospitals, manufacturing plants, aerospace facilities, energy sites and major construction projects.

Every one of those moves depends on the spreader bars, lifting lugs, skids and trailers that our welders build and maintain. As we take on more and bigger jobs, we need skilled Welders and Fabricators who take pride in their work and want a company they can grow with.

If you can run a clean bead, read a print and solve problems in the field, there's no limit to where you can go here.

• Fabricate and repair rigging and heavy-moving equipment, including spreader bars, lifting lugs, skids, cribbing frames, jacking and gantry components
• Repair and modify trailers, trucks, forklifts and heavy equipment
• Weld in the field at customer job sites, including load attachments, sea-fastening, temporary supports and equipment anchoring
• Weld carbon steel in all positions using SMAW (stick), GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (flux-core), plus GTAW (TIG) on stainless and aluminum as needed
