About The Mindful Prof

The Mindful Prof empowers individuals and organizations to thrive through mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and somatic awareness. We provide evidence-based coaching, leadership development, and organizational wellbeing programs that integrate neuroscience, mindfulness, and body-based practices to foster resilience, connection, and sustainable performance. Our work spans both individual clients and B2B partners, including founders, executives, and leadership teams.

Position Overview

The Mindful Prof is seeking a Lead Somatic Coach to support the growth of our individual coaching practice and help shape the future of our coaching team. This role will begin as a part-time, client-facing position, with the opportunity to expand into a leadership capacity as we scale. The Lead Somatic Coach will work with both individual clients and B2B clients, including executives, leaders, and teams, applying somatic, mindfulness-based, and coaching frameworks to support personal and professional transformation.

The ideal candidate is a skilled, trauma‑informed coach who combines practical experience in health or life coaching with somatic and mindfulness‑based modalities. You’ll work directly with clients to guide them through personalized coaching journeys that enhance self‑awareness, nervous system regulation, and holistic wellbeing—while also supporting the development of future somatic coaches under The Mindful Prof umbrella.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 and small‑group (in the future) somatic coaching sessions for individual clients, integrating mindfulness, breathwork and body‑based awareness techniques.
  • Deliver executive, leadership, and business coaching for B2B clients, supporting areas such as stress resilience, emotional intelligence, leadership presence, decision‑making, and sustainable performance.
  • Develop and oversee a growing team of somatic coaches, including onboarding, training and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine and scale The Mindful Prof’s coaching frameworks, ensuring alignment with brand values and evidence-based practices.
  • Contribute to content and marketing initiatives, such as blogs, workshops, or promotional materials that showcase our coaching approach.
  • Maintain client documentation and uphold ethical standards in line with ICF/NBHWC guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, health sciences, education, business or a related field (required).
  • ICF or NBHWC certification (required).
  • 5+ years of experience in health, life, wellness, executive, or business coaching with demonstrated somatic or mindfulness-based practice (preferred).
  • Background in one or more of the following modalities: somatic experiencing, breathwork, body awareness, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), or trauma-informed coaching. If you are not yet certified in somatic modalities, we would provide a 20‑hour Somatic Coaching Training Program
—a rich experiential foundation designed to prepare you for somatic client work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, client‑centered approach.
  • Comfortable working remotely and managing both client and administrative responsibilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in helping grow a mission‑driven wellness organization.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly compensation for both coaching and administrative hours.
  • PTO
  • Opportunity to build and lead a team of coaches as our client base expands.
  • Access to a supportive, collaborative environment with professionals across mindfulness, leadership and organizational wellbeing.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and room to expand to full‑time work as The Mindful Prof continues to grow.
To Apply
