Requirements

Proficiency in Java and a sound understanding of its ecosystem
Basic understanding of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful web services
Familiarity with Java GUI frameworks such as Swing, SWT, or AWT, depending on project needs
Ability to create database schemas that support business processes
Basic knowledge of the JVM, including its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
Experience implementing automated testing platforms and writing unit tests
In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
Understanding of build tools such as Ant, Maven, or Gradle
Banking domain experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, with a focus on availability and performance
Contribute throughout all phases of the development lifecycle
Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
Collaborate with colleagues to create scalable, secure, high-quality products
Conduct regular checks and follow best practices for software development, deployment, and maintenance
Deploy new features and products to production
