* Principal Software Engineer will design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise-scale Java applications
* Build scalable, reliable solutions with a focus on performance, maintainability, security, and data integrity
* Lead technical design and architecture discussions for complex application initiatives
* Develop and support REST APIs, microservices, and related backend services
* Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions
* Participate in application modernization and identity/access management initiatives
* Conduct code reviews and promote software engineering standards and development best practices
* As a Principal Software Engineer, you will collaborate with QA, Dev Ops, product, and other engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers
* Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to application architecture and development practices Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred, or equivalent professional experience
* 8+ years of professional software development or related engineering experience
* Advanced Java experience, including Java SE/EE and Spring Boot, MVC, and Security
* Strong relational database experience with technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
* Experience with CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle
* Strong knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs, microservices, and enterprise application architecture
* Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and application performance
* Familiarity with No
SQL platforms such as MongoDB or Cassandra
* Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills
* Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred
* Experience with in financial services or another regulated industry preferred
* Exposure to Angular, React, or Vue.js is a plus
