Overview
After school Youth Soccer Coach - Entertain young children while playing soccer and being active! The position leads children ages K-5th grade in fun and educational soccer activities. Coaches are energetic, upbeat, positive, and enjoy entertaining young kids. The role creates a positive and joyful soccer experience and fosters teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth in a supportive environment.
CompensationBase pay range: $5,000.00/yr - $15,000.00/yr
New coaches can work 3-10 classes a week (pending on availability) and can earn from $20 per hr up to $40 per hr. The majority of classes are held after school hours. Coaches should be available to work at the following times:
- Monday: 3:00pm-6:30pm
- Tuesday: 3:00pm-6:30pm
- Wednesday: 3:00pm-6:30pm
- Thursday: 3:00pm-6:30pm
- Friday: 3:00pm-6:30pm
- Saturday:

- Player Development:
Implement engaging and age-appropriate training sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. - Foster a love for the game by creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every player feels valued.
- Game Management:
Lead and coordinate team participation in league matches, ensuring a fair and positive experience for all players; emphasize effort, improvement, and enjoyment over strict competition. - Communication:
Maintain open and clear communication with players, parents, and league organizers; provide regular updates on player progress and team activities. - Character Building:
Instill values such as respect, responsibility, and perseverance through soccer-related activities; act as a positive role model for players both on and off the field. - Skill Assessments:
Conduct periodic assessments to understand each player's strengths and areas for improvement; tailor coaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Passion for working with young children
- Highly energetic, reliable, patient, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Certified or willing to get certified with CPR and First Aid Qualifications
- Ability to pass background check
- Reliable transportation

- Coaching Licenses: (Not mandatory)
- US Soccer 4v4 and/or 7v7 coaching licenses (or willing to obtain them)
- Willingness to pursue further coaching education and certifications
- Experience:
Previous coaching experience, especially with youth soccer programs, is highly desirable - Passion for working with children and creating a positive impact on their lives through soccer

Excellent communication skills, both with children and their parents - Team Player:
Collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with fellow coaches, staff, and partners - Enthusiasm for contributing to the overall success and growth of the soccer program
