Job Scope

  • Developmental Discipline Co‑ordinator – Assist HOD Student Management (SM) and Level Discipline Masters with:
    • Provide supervision and structured support for students serving detention/suspension from Mondays to Fridays, after school until 4:30 pm (Fridays until 4 pm).
    • Implement, monitor and supervise detentions and suspensions; maintain consistency in process and follow up procedures.
    • Follow‑up with defaulters.
    • Upkeep, maintain and compile detention records and data.
    • Revert to Form Teachers (FTs) on detention/suspension attendance.
    • Reinforce appropriate behaviour, accountability and reintegration into school routines.
  • Maintain smooth operations of the Discipline Room – Assist HOD (SM) & Operation Manager (OM) to:
    • Support the management of late‑comers in the morning.
    • Maintain and upkeep the operations and data records at the Discipline Room (handphone confiscation, update late‑coming and attendance records into the school data management system, etc.).
    • Attend to students’ drop‑in at the Discipline Room during and after school hours and liaise to update teachers/Year Heads/Heads of Department/School Leaders when needed.
  • Case Management and follow‑up
    • Collaborate with the Student Management Team to monitor the development of students sent for disciplinary measures.
    • Refer and update Level Discipline masters on potential issues related to pupils and school discipline, based on information & personal observation.
    • Conduct follow‑up actions with student offenders after investigations conclude, such as monitoring and supervising the completion of assignments, in‑house suspension, after‑school detention, etc.
    • Daily sign‑in/out for students on movement monitoring.
  • Promote Developmental Discipline Practices
    • Work together with HOD (SM) to design and implement meaningful learning tasks or interventions aimed at behavioural growth and character development.
    • Work alongside teachers to support challenging students and encourage restorative and relationship‑based practices.
    • Active monitoring of non‑structured school hours where students gather, such as recess and after school, to prevent disruptive behaviours.
    • Collaborate with the Student Management team in harnessing disciplinary/late‑coming data to strengthen preventive and proactive interventions.
  • Other duties
    • Collaborate with relevant HOD/Key Personnel in charge of school and national examinations to provide support during the examination period, by:
      • Patrolling to ensure a conducive environment and school tone.
      • Performing escort duties.
      • Managing students at the waiting area during oral examinations.
    • Assist in monitoring students identified for the Extended School Term Self‑study/Suspension programme during term breaks.
    • SM Data and Records Management during term breaks and exam periods: upkeep and compile records of routine/daily non‑compliances, petty offences such as attire and grooming, late‑coming, misuse of hand phones.
    • Filing of SM records for student profiling.
Requirements
  • MOE teaching experience.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring youths at risk.
  • Experience in conducting student discipline investigative work and preparing reports for school management.
  • Experience in using school management systems, student databases, and online platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

Duration
:
Aug 26 to Dec 26 (with the possibility of extension)

Working Hours
:

  • Mon‑Thu: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (30‑minute lunch break).
  • Fri: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (30‑minute lunch break).
  • No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, or gazetted public holidays.
  • Any additional working hours will be compensated by Off‑In‑Lieu (time‑off) subject to supervisor approval.
  • Working hours may vary at times depending on the school’s needs.
