Hiring FT Chinese Tutor in Tampines
Location:
Tutor John Learning Centre
- Tampines West
Position:
Full-Time Primary / Secondary Tutor, Chinese
Salary: $2,500 - $3,500 per month, based on experience, with performance bonuses
Work Days: 4 weekdays + 1 weekend
Working Hours:
- Weekdays: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM / 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Weekends: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Tutor John Learning Centre is a fast-growing tuition brand with three branches across Singapore, including two in Choa Chu Kang and one in Tampines. We offer English, Math, Science, and Chinese lessons, with a strong focus on helping students build confidence through structured teaching systems and consistent academic support.
We are currently hiring a Full-Time Chinese Tutor for our Tampines West branch. This role is suitable for candidates who are confident in supporting Primary and Secondary students across multiple subjects.

You will teach up to 3 classes per day and conduct lessons aligned with the latest MOE syllabus. The role involves supporting students in structured academic improvement across subjects such as:
- English
- Writing, comprehension, grammar, and answering techniques - Math
- Concept mastery, problem‑solving, and exam application - Science
- Foundation building, scientific concepts, and structured answering techniques - Chinese
- Writing, comprehension, and answering techniques
You will conduct short assessments, identify learning gaps, and adjust teaching strategies based on student needs and performance trends. You will also help build parent confidence through consistent student progress and clear academic support.
Operational SupportYou will assist with lesson preparation, teaching resources, scheduling support, and smooth day-to-day centre operations.
Leadership Growth OpportunitiesStrong performers will have the opportunity to work closely with the team and John, with a progression pathway towards Assistant Centre Manager.
Requirements- Diploma or degree holders, preferably in education-related fields
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Preferably with at least 1 year of teaching experience
- Strong in Primary and Secondary subject fundamentals
- Confident in classroom management and clear explanation
- Responsible, consistent, and committed to student outcomes
- Able to commit until the end of the academic year
