Test Technician / Junior Test Engineer | Up to $5,500 + Allowances | 4-Day 12-Hr Shifts | Tampines

Join a leading global data centre solutions provider and build your engineering career in a high-tech manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with testing or manufacturing experience who are passionate about server hardware, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Salary & Benefits

Basic Salary: Up to $5,500/month (based on experience)

Additional Allowances

  • Day Shift (12 hours): +$12 per shift
  • Night Shift (12 hours): +$24 per shift
  • Meal & Transport Allowance: $16 per workday

Location: Tampines

4-Day Work Week

Every Sunday Off

Working Hours

Training Period (First 3 Months)

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

After Training

  • Weekly rotating 12-hour Day/Night Shifts
    • 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
    • 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Choose one fixed work pattern:

  • Team A: Monday – Thursday
  • Team B: Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday
  • Team C: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute Test Process Instructions (TPI) to support production testing
  • Train and guide production operators on testing procedures
  • Create and maintain server Golden Images (GI) and test databases
  • Configure rack test templates based on BOM and Engineering Instructions (EI)
  • Coordinate production readiness to support on-time shipment
  • Work with software teams to deploy rack configurations into testing systems
  • Set up and maintain databases for new hardware components
  • Troubleshoot production test issues, perform root cause analysis, and elevate complex issues when required
  • Raise and track technical support tickets with relevant engineering teams
  • Maintain training records for audit compliance
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in testing or a manufacturing environment
  • Candidates without a degree should possess at least 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in server, rack, hardware, or electronics testing is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of Linux or DOS
  • Understanding of basic electrical and networking concepts
  • Able to troubleshoot computer hardware and production test issues
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Able to commit to rotating day and night shifts after the training period
