Salary £35,000 to £47,000 (DOE)

Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established firm who's looking to expand their current team. You will be required to provide high quality audit services to a wide range of clients, with the ability to undertake Accounting work.

• Lead and complete statutory audits from planning through to finalisation.
• Prepare and review audit planning documents, risk assessments, and testing strategies.
• Conduct fieldwork, liaising with clients on-site and remotely.
• Draft audit reports and ensure compliance with auditing standards and firm procedures.
• Identify and communicate audit findings, technical issues, and opportunities for improvements.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and relevant regulations.
• Prepare management accounts.
• Conduct bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Prepare and review corporate tax computations.
• Staff Supervision & Development.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients during assignments.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering reliable, efficient service.
• Identify additional service needs and flag opportunities to senior management.

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or finalist with significant experience).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in audit and accounts within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
• Competent in using accounting software (experience with CCH, Pro Audit, Sage, Xero is advantageous but not essential).
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Confident communicator, both with clients and colleagues.
