Office Administrator/ Coordinator
Looking for a rewarding part time role where no two days are the same?
Our Tamworth District Children & Families Service is looking for a confident, welcoming Customer Services Officer to be the first point of contact for families, professionals and visitors.
Working 18.5 hours per week over 2.5 days (Monday, Tuesday, 8.30 am to 5.00pm and Wednesday afternoon, 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm) you'll be based in our newly refurbished ground floor reception at Tamworth Library, Corporation Street, right in the heart of town.
As the first person people meet or speak to, you'll set the tone for their entire experience. You'll take phone calls, greet visitors, and support several practitioner teams who help families across the local area.
You’ll join a friendly, fast paced Business Support Team who pull together, support each other, and keep the office running smoothly‑even on the busiest days.
Main Responsibilities- Filter and direct calls for multiple children's services teams
- Welcome visitors and be the warm, professional face of the Tamworth office
- Manage meeting room bookings using our electronic calendar
- Handle incoming and outgoing post
- Carry out occasional cash payments and financial transactions
- Keep systems and records updated accurately
- Excellent customer care skills‑calm, friendly, and professional under pressure
- Strong verbal communication and accurate message taking abilities
- Good organisational skills and confidence using IT systems
- A flexible, adaptable approach to changing priorities
- A passion for delivering the best possible service every time
Interviews will take place the week commencing 23rd March 2026 at Tamworth Library.
