Business Development Manager – Up To £45,000 Permanent Position Tamworth - Staffordshire

Rowles Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing business with a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term customer relationships. The team works closely together, value trust and consistency, and take pride in delivering a high standard of service to their customers.

They are now looking to appoint a BDM to support continued growth, strengthen client relationships, and play an active role in the next phase of the business.

This and office based and travel role which would suit someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative office environment, values face-to-face interaction, and likes to take ownership of their work.

About the role

An exciting commercially focused position at the centre of the organisation combining new business development with account management. You’ll work closely with the co BDM and report directly to the Commercial Director whilst collaborating with the wider team to ensure customers receive a consistent, high-quality experience. Role and Responsibilities
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship building
  • Managing and growing existing client accounts with a long-term, partnership-led approach
  • Booking, attending, and following up on client meetings, both on-site and remotely
  • Maintaining regular contact with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Managing your own diary, priorities, and follow-ups to maintain momentum
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and strong customer outcomes
  • Keeping internal systems up to date with accurate records of activity and pipeline
  • Responding to enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Contributing ideas and feedback to support continuous improvement
You will be:

A commercially minded Business Development professional who enjoys building momentum, taking ownership, and delivering consistent results.

  • Has proven experience in a KPI-led sales environment, where performance, structure, and follow-through matter
  • Holds full UK Driving Licence
  • Can demonstrate a strong track record of:
  • Generating new business revenue
  • Growing existing accounts to deliver repeat and sustainable spend
  • Building and managing a profitable client portfolio
  • Is confident and approachable, with the ability to engage professionally with customers and decision-makers
  • Enjoys developing long-term relationships and earning trust through consistency and delivery
  • Is organised, proactive, and commercially aware, with the ability to manage your own diary, pipeline, and priorities
  • Takes pride in representing the business well and delivering a high standard of work
  • Is motivated to perform, improve, and contribute positively to the wider team
  • Is seeking stability and longevity, with the opportunity to grow alongside an established and supportive business
