Senior Quantity Surveyor - Contract
Location:
Tamworth (4 days in office, 1 day wfh)
Rate:
Competitive (Inside IR35)
An established and award-winning project consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of complex infrastructure and capital programmes.
This is a client-facing role, embedded within delivery teams, providing hands-on commercial management and trusted advisory support across the full project lifecycle.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered with strong commercial governance, robust cost control and effective risk management. You'll work closely with client stakeholders, contractors and internal project controls teams to drive successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver end-to-end quantity surveying and commercial management services across pre- and post-contract stages
Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates, budgets, forecasts and final accounts
Provide accurate, timely cost reporting and financial control to senior stakeholders
Support procurement activities including tender preparation, evaluation and contract award
Administer construction contracts (NEC, JCT), including change control, compensation events and claims
About You
Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, construction or major capital programmes
Strong experience across both pre- and post-contract commercial delivery
Excellent working knowledge of NEC contracts (JCT also advantageous)
Confident managing complex cost and contractual environments
Qualifications
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline
Chartered (MRICS / FRICS) or working towards chartership preferred
