An outstanding primary school in Tamworth is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join its friendly and supportive team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced early years practitioners and teaching staff to support children aged 3-5 in their learning, development, and well-being. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Work with small groups or individual children to reinforce learning and promote development.
  • Assist with observations, assessments, and record-keeping to track pupil progress.
  • Contribute to the creation of engaging displays and learning environments.
  • Help manage routines, including snack time, toileting, and transitions.
  • Support the emotional, social, and physical development of all children in your care.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Previous experience working with children in an EYFS setting (school or nursery).
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent).
  • A solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
