Position: HLTA Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Early Years Teaching Assistant & After School Club Leader

Overview

A great opportunity at a brilliant school with very well behaved children! We need a positive and enthusiastic person to be a Teaching Assistant in Reception in the morning, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and After School Club leader in the afternoon - opportunity to lead Forest School too!

Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Staffordshire Scale Grade 6 (points 9 - 15)

Hours

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. 37.5 hours per week, term time only, 39 weeks a year.

Pay

To avoid any confusion on interview day, it is important schools let applicants know what the actual pro‑rata salary will be - not the full time equivalent salary.

The salary range will be from £22891 to £23956.

Daily routine of the successful candidate

8.30am – Preparation time for HLTA tasks.

8.45am – Reception TA, (a passion for early years education is vital).

12pm – Escorting the pupils to lunchtime then remaining in the hall to support for 30 minutes.

1pm – Covering teacher release time across all classes, (possibility of also leading Forest School, one afternoon a week).

3.25pm – Hometime

3.30pm – Lead the after‑school club (play and stay)

4.25pm - Children go home

4.30pm - End of working day
