As our Headteacher is retiring at the end of this academic year, the pupils and governors of Kingsbury Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced senior leader who will continue to inspire and lead our school community. We are looking for someone to share our vision and build upon the achievements of this happy and successful school.

With the support of an excellent staff team and hardworking motivated pupils, this represents a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated and inspirational leader to take our school forward and to make a lasting difference in our community.

We are a highly respected, hardworking school community with an excellent reputation for being inclusive, caring and dedicated. We are a popular one‑form entry Primary School with 206 pupils on roll. We have a strong emphasis on creating an environment that feels like one family. This has been enabled through structures and organisation which have created a calm and supportive environment for pupils and staff.

Pupils are happy and enjoy coming to school. Together with our parents and the wider community we have a school which is caring, welcoming and encouraging. We have high expectations and we want pupils to thrive but we are determined to treat every pupil as an individual.

We are proud of the achievements of all our children and the school community and we are now looking for a leader to take us to even more success in the future.

We are seeking a Headteacher who:

  • is passionate about improving children’s lives through high‑quality education and rich, diverse experiences
  • has the leadership skills and ability to lead the school in its next phase of development, and to manage school business well, and is confident, resilient and flexible, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
  • values every pupil as an individual and fosters a school environment where all children feel safe, supported and able to flourish
  • can nurture, challenge, motivate and inspire both pupils and staff
  • communicates clearly and collaboratively, strengthening relationships with pupils, staff, families and the wider community
  • holds high expectations for pupil achievement, attendance and behaviour
  • is committed to providing excellence in education to ensure that all pupils reach their full potential
  • is keen to embrace creativity and innovation in all aspects of the curriculum
In return, we can offer:
  • a warm, friendly and supportive school community with engaged parents
  • motivated pupils who show enthusiasm for learning and positive behaviour
  • a talented, dedicated staff team committed to developing and enriching school life
  • a proactive, supportive governing body that works in partnership with school leaders

Visits to the school are actively encouraged and can be arranged by telephoning the School office on or by emailing
