The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students of secondary age (11–19)
Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Confidently support students with a range of additional needs
Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
Promote independence, resilience and positive engagement
Get fully involved in school life and enrichment activities
Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated staff team
Be a positive role model with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
Candidate Requirements
✔ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
✔ Recent UK school-based experience
✔ Experience supporting pupils with additional needs
✔ Confidence working with secondary-aged students
✔ Ability to commit full-time on a long-term basis
✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
✔ Ability to provide references covering the last 2 years
✔ Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
