Teaching Assistant

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and confident Teaching Assistant to support children across EYFS and Key stage 1 at a Primary School in Tamworth. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about inclusive education and committed to providing high‑quality support to all pupils.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to pupils in EYFS and Reception class, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, physical disabilities, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will assist in as part of the main class for phonics, literacy and Maths and be confident running group interventions and structured support in line with each pupil’s needs.

You will also need to be happy to do personal care and assist with toileting.

• A recognised Level 3 qualification, such as Supporting Teaching and Learning, Early Years, Childcare, or SEND equivalent
• Confidence supporting children with a range of SEND
• Experience working in a school or educational setting
• Strong communication skills and the ability to form supportive relationships with pupils
• A patient, proactive and empathetic approach
• Be available for work As soon as possible
