  • 95% Kanban system
  • 5% MRP scheduling (long lead-time items)

  • Full responsibility for inventory control and inventory record maintenance
  • Set up stock codes and maintain re-order levels
  • Produce month-end stock reporting
  • Manage Stores personnel and take ownership of Stores standards and environment
  • Raise H&S concerns and support risk assessments / COSHH activity with Production
  • Issue weekly rollover schedules to suppliers for JIT delivery (control panels, chassis fabrications, GRP parts)
  • Chase shortages and overdue orders; generate weekly shortage reporting via MRP and manage shortage visibility on site
  • Support sourcing of alternatives/new products with the technical team where supply issues occur
  • Own procedures for year-end stock take
  • Implement and manage cyclic counting to maintain high stock accuracy
What we re looking for
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of stock control / inventory accuracy / purchasing discipline
  • Comfortable using Kanban systems and exposure to MRP (especially for long lead items)
  • Confident supplier management skills (chasing, expediting, resolving shortages)
  • Strong admin skills and attention to detail (Excel competence helpful)
  • Able to lead/coordinate Stores activity and maintain standards
What you ll get
  • £45,000 salary
  • Stable, growing business with significant investment and a clear growth plan
