Our client, a specialist engineering and fabrication company based at Kingsbury Link, Tamworth, is urgently seeking an Experienced Brake Press Setter / Operator. This is an excellent opportunity with a possible permanent role following a successful trial period.

You will be joining a skilled production team delivering high-quality components, primarily for the rail industry.

• Setting and operating Amada brake press machines.
• Producing components from engineering drawings and route cards.
• Working to tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Ensuring parts are completed within routed times.
• Using hand-held inspection equipment, including:
  • Vernier calipers
  • Height gauges
• Maintaining high levels of quality and consistency.
• Working collaboratively within the production team.

• Proven experience as a Brake Press Setter / Operator.
• Essential experience with Amada brake presses.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Confident using inspection and measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Background in engineering or fabrication (rail industry experience advantageous).

• Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
• Friday: 07:00 - 12:00
• Pay Rate: £14.50 - £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
