Responsibilities- Responsible for driving improvements in product quality and service levels to deliver excellent standards of customer care, with regular feedback for continuous improvement.
- Lead the introduction of best practice quality techniques at the shop-floor level such as standard work, quality alerts and mistake proofing. Achieve reductions in quality defects, damages and process errors for an overall reduction in the cost of poor quality.
- Responsible for effective and timely response to any customer concerns raised.
- Provide visible leadership in Quality standards, behaviours and systems of work.
- Responsible for effective Quality policies and systems for improved performance.
- Promote a positive Quality culture with engagement, training and regular audits.
- Lead Quality management reviews and drive improved standards.
- Responsible for measurement and testing of products for quality verification, together with adopting technology such as CMM systems for improving accuracy and repeatability.
- Lead introduction of best practice quality improvements using PDCA problem solving and CI techniques.
- Maintain excellent standards of Quality CI application, communication, personal discipline, time management, problem solving, continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Maintain focused Quality KPIs to monitor improvements, promote new ideas and CI learning.
- Support and ensure full compliance with internal and external Quality audits.
- Ensure full compliance with Quality standards and industry regulations, including ISO 9001.
- Responsible for driving improved Quality CI standards with suppliers.
- Responsible for quality documentation, process capability studies, auditing and maintaining equipment calibrations.
- Ensure any other duties as required to support the quality function in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience in delivering and developing ISO 9001 in a production environment.
- Skilled at investigating non-conformances to generate process changes that drive performance and reduce waste and low quality output.
- Ability to implement best practice quality techniques at shop-floor level (e.g., standard work, quality alerts, mistake proofing).
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage employees and drive continuous improvement.
