FREIGHT FORWARDER
TAMWORTH
Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
The Forwarding Operator is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and execution of domestic and international road freight shipments. This role ensures cost‑effective route planning, strong carrier partnerships, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.
Responsible for the end-to-end coordination of domestic and international road shipments, ensuring cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Working within a busy road freight department as part of a wider operational team
- Handling European groupage and full-load services
- Arranging the movement of freight from origin to final destination (UK & Europe)
- Liaising with customers, overseas partners, and suppliers
- Managing shipments from booking through to delivery
- Preparing and processing customs and transport documentation
- Minimum 2 years' experience in European road freight or logistics
- Strong understanding of road freight operations
- Ability to manually calculate costs and charges, including taxable kilos
- Experience with customs paperwork
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of TMS systems, TACO, Cabotage, and Mobility Package regulations.
- Full UK Driving Licence
