We are currently supporting a large-scale infrastructure project and looking for a Trainer (Electrical & Instrumentation / E&I) to join a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) project in Jakarta.
This role is key in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations by training and developing local operators and technical teams on electrical systems, instrumentation, and control processes.
What you’ll be doingYou will be part of the core Training Team, working closely with the Chief Trainer and engineering stakeholders across commissioning and operations phases:
Commissioning & Pre-Training Phase- Support E&I activities during Dry Run, Wet Run, and commissioning stages
- Assist in execution of E&I commissioning plans based on site conditions
- Deliver hands-on training on:
- Power systems, MCCs, VFDs, PLC/DCS, control panels
- Field instruments (flow, level, pressure, pH, DO, ORP, analyzers, etc.)
- Electrical safety practices (LOTO, isolation, arc-flash awareness, safe testing)
- Use of test equipment (multimeter, insulation tester, loop calibrator, etc.)
- Conduct daily E&I coaching and technical guidance for operators
- Monitor performance of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems
- Support troubleshooting of faults (motor/VFD issues, PLC/DCS I/O, signal faults, instrumentation errors)
- Guide preventive maintenance, calibration, and shutdown planning
- Manage E&I spare parts and assist in replacements when needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards for all E&I activities
- Provide structured training sessions and on-the-job mentoring
- Support reporting and technical updates to project management
- Deliver technical briefings to visitors when required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience
- At least 3 years of experience in WWTP electrical & instrumentation systems (design, operation, or maintenance)
- Strong knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and power distribution
- Comfortable in commissioning and site-based environments
- Strong English communication skills (Bahasa Indonesia is a plus)
This is a high-impact technical training role in a critical infrastructure project. You won’t just maintain systems—you’ll be shaping the capability of the people who will run and sustain the plant long-term.
