ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Utility Manager to lead utilities operations and ensure the reliable, safe, and sustainable supply of critical utilities to support brewery operations.

This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of reliability, operational performance, and regulatory compliance across utility systems, while driving continuous improvement in energy and water management.

JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

Ensure reliable, efficient, and sustainable supply of all utilities (water, steam, electricity, compressed air, refrigeration, CO₂, wastewater treatment) to support E2E Supply Chain operations, in compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and cost targets.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure reliable, safe, and compliant operation of all utility systems, including Steam, Boiler, Refrigeration (NH3/CO2), Chilled Water, Compressed Air, Water Treatment, and Distribution Networks.
  • Lead utility asset management, maintenance, and reliability programs by managing maintenance planning and execution, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), contractor performance, maintenance budgets, spare parts coordination, and cross-functional handovers to maximize equipment reliability and utility availability.
  • Drive energy, water, and sustainability performance by achieving utility KPIs, optimizing resource consumption, and leading carbon emission, water reduction, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including process safety, utility-related legal obligations, and site operational standards.
  • Lead and develop the Utilities team by managing workforce capability, technical competency, certifications, performance management, succession planning, and specialist skill development.
  • Drive TPM, Autonomous Maintenance (AM), 5S, CILT, and Operational Excellence initiatives, including implementation of visual management, Poka-Yoke, Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), and advanced maintenance technologies.
  • Leverage digital systems and data analytics (SAP/Maximo, DCS, MCRS, UCMS, and related platforms) to monitor utility performance, improve maintenance effectiveness, ensure data accuracy, and support data driven decision making.
CANDIDATE CRITERIA
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Utilities within FMCG, Food & Beverage.
  • Strong expertise in industrial utility systems, including Steam & Boiler, Refrigeration (NH3/CO2), Compressed Air, Water & Wastewater Treatment, HVAC, and Energy Systems.
  • Proven track record in driving TPM and Operational Excellence programs, with strong experience in maintenance and reliability frameworks such as Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Preventive/Predictive Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance, with a track record of managing utility operations safely and efficiently.
