Research & Development; Formulator Senior

Responsibilities

• Develop new product formulations and improve existing ones in taste, texture, stability, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct laboratory trials (bench tests) for powder‑based and ready‑to‑consume products.
• Prepare product samples for internal evaluation and organoleptic testing.
• Perform stability tests including pH, color, aroma, solubility, viscosity, and shelf‑life.
• Select suitable raw materials (flavors, sweeteners, stabilizers, colorants, functional ingredients) for formulation needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding raw material samples and technical data.
• Create formulation documents, raw material specifications, and standard procedures for production.
• Support production scale‑up trials and provide recommendations based on trial outcomes.
• Ensure all formulations comply with BPOM, Halal, and food safety regulations.
• Conduct research on market trends, competitor products, and new ingredient innovations.

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant field.
• At least 2 years of R&D experience in the food/beverage/supplement industry.
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, BPOM, Halal, ISO 22000, and related principles.
• Understanding of sensory testing principles.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Good problem‑solving skills.
