Make Your ImpactIn this role, you will play a key part in delivering high‑quality, safe, and reliable rubber lining outcomes in a site‑based environment. Working hands‑on across inspections, application, and final verification, you will ensure all activities meet approved procedures, technical standards, and customer expectations. Your focus on quality compliance and independent verification will help prevent premature failures, reduce unplanned downtime, and protect critical mining assets—making a clear and tangible impact on site performance every day.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Mechanical Inspection & Reporting:
Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications, conduct inspections, and prepare accurate QA/QC reports. - Defect Analysis & Quality Control:
Perform defect reporting and analysis using tools such as CAPA, FMEA, and control plans, implementing corrective actions as required. - Site Collaboration & Communication:
Liaise with clients, site teams, and internal stakeholders to support operations and ensure technical and safety compliance. - Process, Safety & Quality Assurance:
Ensure rubber lining activities meet technical, safety, and statutory standards, including PPE, certification, and site safety requirements. - Site‑Based Role:
Perform daily inspections, audits, and quality checks on Sumbawa Island to maintain high workmanship standards and minimise unplanned downtime. - Safety First:
Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world‑class safety culture.
- Technical background with mechanical exposure (school level or higher) and hands‑on experience in inspection, measurement, and reporting.
- Proven ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, site teams, and internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality assurance, defect prevention, and safety standards.
- Experience in rubber works or rubber product inspections and familiarity with QA/QC tools, calibration, and quality management systems (ISO) will be highly regarded.
- Relevant certifications in defect analysis and reporting and exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, or Pokayoke are advantageous.
