Laboratory Technician

About the Role

The role involves conducting routine lab tests and supporting various laboratory processes to ensure product quality and compliance.

• Carry out routine lab tests - pH, viscosity, density, gloss, scrub resistance, CR/WI, Colour quality control, fineness of grind.
• Support RCA and special testing assigned by the Chemist.
• Accurate data recording on the logbook.
• Lab batch processing.
• Prepare samples, manage lab equipment, and record data.
• Support to conduct paint application assessment.
• Panel preparation.
• Support to test & verify the compliance of the incoming raw materials and customer application support.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safety.

• Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Laboratory Technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Materials Engineering.
• Specialized coursework in coatings technology or surface chemistry is highly valued.

• 1-3 years of experience in decorative paint R&D or QC or Fresh Graduate.
• Ability to prepare paint samples, emulsions, and test batches.
• Accurate recording of test results.
• Support for preparation of technical datasheets and compliance reports.

• Experience in laboratory settings and familiarity with lab equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
