Phlebotomist

Job Description:

• The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company to patients—whether they visit as part of a health routine or for important diagnostic insights.
• The PSR I is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring a professional, safe, and compassionate patient experience.
• This role requires strict adherence to established procedures and a commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and excellence in patient care.

• Perform daily activities accurately and efficiently under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures.
• Accurately maintain required records and documentation.
• Build patient trust and ensure comfort while explaining procedures and collecting samples.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.

• Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred).
• Phlebotomy certification.

• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience (required).
• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment (preferred).
• Keyboard/data entry experience (required).
