Spring 2026 Nurse Residency Cohorts (February through May cohort start dates). Residencies are offered at Carrollwood, Connerton, North Pinellas, Riverview, Tampa, Wesley Chapel, and Land O’ Lakes.

• Apply nursing knowledge and skills to all diagnoses, procedures, medications, complications, and equipment for the unit patient population.
• Follow strict infection prevention precautions, ensure medication safety, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in practice changes, process improvement initiatives, and completion of all required education.
• Support quality standards and initiatives set by the department, exhibiting a desire to learn, teach, mentor, and advance nursing skills.
• Complete timely assessments including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors; make appropriate decisions and implement interventions based on nursing diagnoses.
• Set measurable, short and long‑range goals for patients, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and prioritize follow‑up assessments.
• Promote an exceptional patient experience through effective communication with patients, families, and visitors, including hourly rounding.

• Associate's of Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor's of Nursing (Preferred)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI RQI)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR Cert (BLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – EV Accredited Issuing Body
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
• Registered Nurse (RN) – EV Accredited Issuing Body
