Location:
Taunton (Hybrid working available) Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a friendly and supportive accountancy practice based in Taunton. This is a permanent position offering hybrid working once fully trained, with 3 days per week in the office. Working as part of a close-knit team of two and reporting into the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality payroll service across a varied client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Processing a portfolio of client payrolls from start to finish Managing payrolls of varying sizes, from small businesses to larger organisations with several hundred employees Handling both weekly and monthly payroll schedules Ensuring payrolls are accurate and compliant with current legislation Processing starters, leavers, and statutory payments Dealing with client queries and providing excellent customer service Working collaboratively within the payroll team and supporting the Payroll Manager where required Using Sage payroll software on a daily basis About You Previous payroll experience, ideally within a practice or bureau environment Experience managing multiple payrolls and deadlines Confident using Sage payroll software Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team Excellent communication and client-facing skills Benefits Flexible and hybrid working options 25 days holiday plus bank holidays An extra day off for your birthday Matched pension contributions up to 5% Private healthcare Life assurance Free on-site parking Enhanced maternity and paternity leave Numerous opportunities for development A mentoring scheme open to all staff to support career progression If you are interested, please click apply ASAP.
