We're recruiting an experienced Audit Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in Taunton
.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their audit career. You'll take responsibility for audit assignments, work directly with clients and support the development of junior team members.

• Plan and lead audit fieldwork across a varied portfolio of clients
• Take responsibility for audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Prepare and review audit working papers and financial information
• Identify audit risks and ensure appropriate procedures are completed
• Liaise directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Review and supervise the work of junior team members
• Coach and support trainees, helping develop their technical skills
• Work closely with Managers and Partners on more complex assignments
• Ensure audits are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting and auditing standards

• ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified
• Previous audit experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong understanding of audit and accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach
