Accounts Manager – Taunton Taunton | Full-Time | Hybrid & Flexible Working | Competitive Salary  Benefits 're recruiting an experienced Accounts Manager to join a busy and growing accountancy practice in Taunton . This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant with a strong general practice background to manage a varied portfolio of clients and play an important role in supporting and developing the wider team.

You'll work with sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies , providing a broad range of accounts, tax and VAT services while building strong, long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities Manage a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors Review accounts prepared by junior team members, ensuring files meet a high standard Support the preparation of accounts in line with relevant accounting standards Deal with accounting, taxation and VAT queries Manage workflow and ensure client deadlines are consistently met Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients Act as a trusted point of contact for your portfolio Coach, mentor and support junior team members and trainees Work closely with senior leadership and Partners on client assignments Identify opportunities to provide additional services and add value to clients About You ACA or ACCA qualified , or equivalent Proven experience managing a broad portfolio within an accountancy practice Strong general practice experience across accounts, tax and VAT Previous experience leading, coaching or supervising junior staff Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail Excellent communication and client relationship skills Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Commercially minded with a proactive approach Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team What's on Offer Hybrid and flexible working Competitive salary and benefits Varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients Broad accounts, tax and VAT exposure Client-facing responsibility Leadership and mentoring opportunities Ongoing training and professional development Supportive and collaborative team environment Clear career progression Location Taunton, Somerset Commutable from Bridgwater, Yeovil, Wellington, Glastonbury, Street and surrounding areas .
