Assistant Management Accountant
Taunton, Somerset
£30,000 - £35,000 + Study Support Available
Full-Time
Butler Rose is delighted to be partnering with a growing and well-established organisation in Somerset to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is studying towards a professional accounting qualification, or looking to make their first move from practice into industry. The role offers excellent exposure across a multi-entity business, with genuine opportunities for career development and progression.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end management accounts.
- Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Analyse financial data and support reporting activities.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Maintain fixed asset registers.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Support payroll processing where required.
- Produce ad hoc financial analysis and reports.
- Contribute to process improvements and finance projects.
- Work closely with the wider finance team to support business objectives.
- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or actively studying towards qualification.
- Experience with in a similar accounting role, or looking to make a first move from accountancy practice.
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.
- Experience preparing management accounts.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive approach and willingness to learn.
- Salary of £30,000 - £35,000.
