Medical Receptionist, Healthcare Administration
A re-structuring of our team has created openings for two medical receptionists to join our friendly and supportive team.
One post is available at 24.5 hours per week and the other is 19.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will enjoy working with people and be able to maintain a calm and professional approach whilst working in a busy and intense environment. Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills are essential.
Candidates will need flexibility to provide additional cover in the event of colleague absence and occasional Saturday mornings will be required on a rota basis.
About usOur surgery provides GP services to a practice list of over 10,700 patients from our main surgery in Williton and branch site in Watchet.

Job responsibilitiesTo provide reception and administration duties for the practice, dealing with incoming enquiries by telephone and in person in a polite and efficient manner. As the central point of contact at our practice, our receptionists are required to give a positive and friendly welcome to patients, their families and carers, visitors, and colleagues. Duties will include, but are not limited to greeting and directing patients, booking appointments, patient registration,liaising with external agencies such as secondary and community care providers,and conducting general administrative tasks for our practice team.

- GCSE English and Maths (Grade A

- Ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
- Good interpersonal skills.
