Main duties of the jobThe role is varied and may include:
- Providing professional administrative support to clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Communicating effectively with patients, relatives, colleagues, and external organisations via telephone, email, written correspondence, and face-to-face interactions.
- Responding to enquiries in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
- Managing diaries, booking meetings, preparing agendas and meeting documentation.
- Supporting staffing administration, including e-Roster management, mandatory training bookings, annual leave requests, and rota queries.
- Maintaining accurate records, filing systems, and personal files.
- Preparing letters, reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
- Monitoring work in progress and following up outstanding actions.
- Liaising with People Services, Recruitment, and Payroll regarding staffing and pay‐related matters.
- Ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels using Trust systems.
- Assisting with data collection, reporting, and administrative projects.
- Providing cross-cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
- Working flexibly across different Trust locations and departments as required.

Job responsibilitiesThis role involves a variety of responsibilities including managing correspondence, reporting incidents, and liaising with People Services and Payroll. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality, follow Trust policies on infection control and data protection, and uphold professional standards. The post requires good judgement to resolve staff queries promptly and the ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
