This is a senior reception and administration position with responsibility for supporting and leading an existing reception team

To be considered, you must have a minimum of 3 years’ reception/administration experience AND previous experience supervising, leading, mentoring or providing day‑to‑day direction to other reception or administrative staff.
We are deliberately looking for someone with proven experience who is ready to take responsibility for the smooth running of a busy reception function.
This position is not suitable for applicants looking for their first reception/administration role or those without previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
Healthcare or clinic experience would be advantageous but isn’t essential if you have strong transferable experience from another busy, professional and customer‑focused environment.

We’re recruiting for an established multidisciplinary healthcare clinic in Taunton looking for an experienced Senior Clinic Administrator / Reception Team Lead to join them on a full‑time, permanent basis.
This is not simply a standard receptionist position
.
You’ll remain hands‑on with patients, appointments, calls and administration, but you’ll also provide day‑to‑day leadership and support to an existing team of two receptionists.
You’ll help organise workloads, maintain high standards, support your colleagues with more complex situations and make sure the reception function runs smoothly, professionally and efficiently.
Working closely with the clinic’s senior management team, you’ll be trusted to identify problems, take ownership and resolve day‑to‑day issues rather than simply passing everything upwards.
