About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team within a busy construction environment. You will support senior team members in delivering successful project outcomes across a range of residential, commercial, and infrastructure schemes valued between £500k and £20m.

This role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their career in quantity surveying within a supportive and dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets.

* Support the procurement of subcontractors and materials.

* Help manage project finances and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.

* Prepare and issue tender documents, contracts, and variations.

* Assist with valuations, payments, and final accounts.

* Support the identification and management of commercial risks.

* Liaise with site teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

* Maintain up-to-date project and cost records.

Requirements

* Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

* 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role (placement year or post-graduate experience considered).

* Strong numerical and analytical skills.

* Good understanding of construction methods and technology.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); familiarity with industry software such as COINS, Bluebeam, or Causeway is advantageous.

* Full UK driving licence.
