We are looking for a Customer Services Assistant to be based at the Somerset Heritage Centre in Taunton. Working within the Somerset Archives and Local Studies team, you will provide a high quality customer focused Reception Service to all visitors. You will meet customer needs resolving enquiries at first point of contact, provide administrative support, track customer enquiries and work with colleagues through the Trust.

You will need excellent customer care and administrative skills as well as a willingness to learn about the different services of the Trust. Occasional travel to other sites managed by the Trust may be required.

The South West Heritage Trust is an independent charity which delivers a broad range of heritage services across Somerset and Devon. With a turnover exceeding £3.5 million each year, we manage and run two Archives and Local Studies services, three museums (including the Museum of Somerset), and we look after the historic environment in Somerset, including over 400 acres of reserves.

Hours:

The working week is 29.6 hours Monday to Thursday. The post will include occasional weekend work.
