About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Somerset. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) or a trainee teacher with the ability to deliver KS4 Maths. This will be to small learning groups withpupils mximum.

The role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options, making it ideal for teachers looking to balance professional growth with personal commitments.

Students may present with challenging behaviour, barriers to learning, or require additional emotional support. Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging KS4 Maths lessons that meet diverse learning needs.

* Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals.

* Use positive behaviour management strategies to support students with SEMH needs.

* Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches to ensure all pupils can succeed.

Candidate Requirements

* QTS or equivalent (trainee teachers considered if confident teaching KS4 Maths).

* Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.

* Patience, resilience, and empathy when working with young people with SEMH needs.

* Ability to build positive relationships and inspire learners.

* Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
