Salary: £93 – 100 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Connex Education are working exclusively with a Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT) across Taunton + surrounding areas.

Connex Education are looking for Teaching Assistants to work on a day-to-day supply basis, as well as short to long term placements. These roles involve supporting both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes, offering general classroom assistance as well as one-to-one or small group support, depending on the needs of each school. • Support teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to encourage participation
• Assist in creating a positive and engaging learning environment
• Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times

• Experience working with children aged 4–11 in a UK primary school setting
• Good communication and behaviour management skills
• Understanding of classroom routines and the primary curriculum
• Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc. is desirable
• Organised, adaptable and enthusiastic
• Must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
