Teacher Active is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND school in the Taunton area that is seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The school is looking to appoint a full-time, temporary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) from September. The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will support teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to provide classroom support, deliver interventions, cover lessons when required, and work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis to meet a range of additional learning needs.

The

successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will have:
  • HLTA qualification or relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experience supporting children and young people within a SEND setting
  • Confidence leading learning and covering lessons where required
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
