** Nursery Practitioner at North Curry Primary School.
** Huish Nurseries @ North Curry Primary School is a well-established, friendly nursery dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for children aged 6 months - 4 years old, open 50 weeks of the year from 8:00am- 6:00pm Monday to Friday.

We believe in creating a safe, stimulating, and fun environment where children can explore, learn, and develop at their own pace.

We are looking for candidates who are able to:
* Provide a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for children and families.
* Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's developmental milestones.
* Observe, assess, and record children's progress to ensure they are reaching their full potential.
* Promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating setting, adhering to health and safety policies.
* Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures of the nursery
* Work collaboratively and enthusiastically with a team to ensure high standards of care and education.
* Communicate effectively with parents/carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress.
** Requirements:
*** Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent).
* GCSEs in Maths and English are essential.
* Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
* Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Strong communication skills and a caring, patient approach.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Paediatric first aid, a current safeguarding certificate and a food hygiene certificate are desirable.

* Hours:

** 20 hours per week, all year-round. Hours - Monday 8am until 6pm and Wednesday/Thursday 1pm until 6pm
** Salary:
**** For Level 2 qualified:
** start at £26,403 FTE, moving to £26,824 FTE ( £13.47 per hour SCP
8) following a successful probation.
** For Level 3 qualified:
** start at £27,254 FTE, moving to £27,694 FTE (£13.91 per hour SCP
10) following successful probation.
** For Level 6 qualified:
** start at £27,694 FTE, moving to £28,142 (£14.13 SCP 11) following successful probation.
