Materials Engineer

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Materials Engineer to join a global Fortune 500 company working with advanced sensing technologies. You will support the development and improvement of ceramic materials used in innovative sensor products.

Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will contribute to new product development, improve materials and manufacturing processes, and help deliver high‑quality solutions that meet customer and industry requirements.

Materials Engineer

- Key Responsibilities
  • Research and develop processing techniques for ceramic products
  • Develop manufacturing processes for ceramic‑based components
  • Analyse test results to improve product quality and reduce production costs
  • Test finished ceramics to ensure quality, consistency and durability
  • Produce and maintain product design documentation
  • Provide technical support to the Sales team and customers
  • Stay current with new technologies through benchmarking and analysis
  • Apply lessons learned and collaborate with cross‑functional teams
  • Prepare samples for new specifications and designs
  • Respond to customer technical enquiries
Materials Engineer - You
  • Bachelors degree in Materials Engineering or a related field (ceramics preferred)
  • Experience in materials engineering or development, ideally with ceramics
  • Knowledge of ceramics formulation and processing
  • Experience with laboratory testing and analysis
  • Structured problem‑solving skills in manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Experience working within a new product development process
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in English
