Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager - Compliance & Risk Focus

The role

We're seeking a Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join our expanding Corporate Tax team in our Taunton or Bristol office, with a particular focus on delivering high quality compliance, risk management and governance services to our clients.

You’ll work alongside Partners, Directors and colleagues across the firm to ensure clients receive proactive support in meeting their tax obligations while identifying opportunities to improve tax processes, controls and efficiencies.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing compliance delivery, maintaining technical excellence and supporting clients through an increasingly complex tax environment.

What you’ll be doing

Examples of work may include:

• Managing corporate tax compliance portfolios for large and complex groups
• Reviewing corporation tax returns and tax accounting disclosures
• Managing quarterly and year-end tax reporting processes
• Advising on CIR, loss utilisation, group relief and interest restriction calculations
• Supporting clients with compliance obligations arising from overseas activities
• Implementing efficient tax compliance processes and technology solutions

You’ll also help develop junior team members, maintain quality standards and contribute to the strategic growth of the tax practice.

What we need from you

Ideally you will:

• Be CTA qualified and ACA or ACCA qualified
• Have extensive corporate tax compliance and reporting experience
• Possess strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation
• Be comfortable managing large compliance portfolios and complex risk areas
• Have experience reviewing the work of others and mentoring junior team members
• Be highly organised, detail-focused and committed to quality
• Have strong communication and client relationship skills
• Enjoy building long-term client relationships and identifying opportunities to add value
