Practice Nurse – Join Our Friendly GP Practice.
Are you a caring, enthusiastic Practice Nurse looking to join a supportive and welcoming team? We are seeking a dedicated nurse to become an integral part of our friendly GP practice, where patient care is at the heart of everything we do.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists and administrative staff who are committed to delivering high-quality, patient- centred care.
About the RoleAs a Practice Nurse, you will provide a wide range of nursing services to our diverse patient population, including:
- Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD).
- Cervical screening.
- Childhood and adult immunisations.
- Travel vaccinations (where applicable).
- Wound care and dressings.
- Health promotion and lifestyle advice.
- Supporting infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives.
- Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
- Has experience as a practice nurse working within primary care or is keen to develop a career in general practice.
- Has at least 3 years post registration experience.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is compassionate, organised and patient-focused.
- Can work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
- Is committed to providing safe, high-quality care and maintaining professional development.
Additional qualifications in chronic disease management, cervical screening, or immunisations are desirable but not essential, as training and development opportunities may be available for the right candidate.
